Day 53
Today’s Takeaway: Vitamins & Supplements (Morning Routine ~ Part 2)
Preface: I’m not a licensed medical professional. Although I used to study sports medicine & athletic training, I’m by no means an authority on physical fitness or general health & wellness. I’m simply sharing the routines & practices I have found helpful in restoring and sustaining my own mental & physical health. Please consult your health care professional if you decide to try anything I recommend in this post. Although most of the things I share carry no obvious risk, we must remember everyone’s health is different mentally, physically & emotionally. Please keep that in mind as you read. ♥️
Vitamins:
One Daily Multi: Because everyone should have a multi-vitamin.
Super B Complex: Increases energy, boosts your mood, increases & supports cellular health.
Vitamin D3: Strengthens bones, immune system, brain function & is also great for energy & mood.
Iron: I’m anemic so this one is a must for me, but otherwise it improves oxygen distribution in the blood which aids in alleviating fatigue & improving mental & physical performance.
Omega-3 Fatty Acids: This supports heart health & can even lower your risk of some types of cancer. (Since I’m a survivor this one is important for me.)
Supplements:
Ashwagandha: This is a staple herb in the natural healing culture. It is said to relieve stress, anxiety & even aid in better sleep & stable energy levels. (I take this in the morning & it’s a new favorite)
5HTP: This naturally increases serotonin levels in the brain and acts as support for mood and stress management. (I take this at night because it has amazing effects on restful sleep.)
Green Tea Extract: This is one of my favs! It promotes weight loss, blood sugar regulation, disease prevention & exercise recovery. It can also help keep your skin & liver healthy, reduce blood fat levels, regulate blood pressure, and improve brain health. Can we say super pill?
Probiotic Pearl: Supports gut health & digestive regularity. I take the one that also specific to women’s health.
Noocube Brain Productivity: This is a natural nootropic supplement that increases focus, mental performance, and clarity.
CBD Gummy: I take 2 every morning when I wake up. I know there’s mixed reviews about the benefits or effectiveness of CBD. Well, for me it works. I’ve been very open about my struggles with high-functioning anxiety. Equating my brain to a news reel. CBD, slows me down without stoning me out. I can organize my thoughts, properly prioritize & quiet that sense of urgency. If you’re like me & struggle with racing thoughts or maybe even a touch of ADHD, it’s a holistic approach to try before taking, what can sometimes be a scary step up to prescriptions.
Elm & Rye Libido: I’m not embarrassed to admit it, as I got older and busier, my “desire” took a hit. There’s no shame in supporting a healthy sex life - these gummies were a game-changer. Just pop one before you know you might “do the deed” & watch it go to work! (They’re pretty tasty too. 😉)
As I mentioned in my post yesterday, I believe this combo of vitamins & supplements has been transformative for me. But again, I’m not a doctor. Please do not try any of these without consulting your primary first. If you get the all clear, please dm me to let me know if you have found success with anything I have shared. I would love to hear from you.
Good luck and good health! ♥️
